Everywhere you turn, you're faced with kids watching youtube videos, teens enveloped in their social media accounts, or elderly people trying to figure out how to adapt to the fast-changing pace of these advancements. Many of us have multiple social media platforms that we keep up with and it is rare to find someone who has none.
But is our constant need to connect to the internet damaging ? In the video "Social Media Trends 2017", one of the points made is that when we're out socializing at parties or casual hang outs, we focus more on capturing the moment for our next post than actually living in the moment. Are all these advancements really worth the risk of having our jobs stolen and possibly our economy ruined ? The video "Did You Know? -- These 2 minutes can change your life" tells of the effects technology has had on people. Statistics show that more of us today are experiencing back pain at some point of our lives, due to how often we sit. Surprisingly, studies show that we will be sitting for almost 31 years of our life ! After watching all videos I'm left wondering if we should continue to advance in technology or should we limit our advancements for the sake of our humanity and health?
